Welcome, friends and family, to my blog. I have never done anything like this before and hope to do a bit better than those who start a blog and never update it again (you all know somebody who has done this!). Perhaps you, readers, can hold me accountable to this. Should you feel I am not updating enough, ask for more! Bug me until I do. Those closest to me know how much prodding I sometimes need to get things done (a lamentable trait).
As all of you know, I have started this blog to keep those dear to me up-to-date on my thoughts and exploits as I pursue ministry in Adelaide, Australia. I have accepted an internship with Hope Valley Uniting Church and will be working to develop programs for its young adult ministries. In the process, I will be sitting under spiritual mentors, trying to develop as a minister of God's Word and as a Christian man. I am eager to grow myself and pour into the lives of those in Adelaide.
This missions trip of mine will last at least six months and I am nervous about starting. I have so much to do!
Thus, with my first post, I make you aware of my current position. In a little over a month I will be flying out. Please keep me in your hearts and prayers as I prepare. More to come!
